Team members having fun

During this experience, we'll take you in the heart of the enchanting Greek islands - “The Saronics”

Our sailing adventure aims to offer a perfect blend of breathtaking seascapes and tailored environments for you the team.

Sail aboard yachts as you connect and build meaningful community against the backdrop of the Aegean Sea.

For the employees of Waldevar we’ve prepared an amazing  sailing trip in Greece, we promise you it’s a lot of fun!

Daily life on a yacht

We have a fix itinerary, exploring a new place and island every day. We enjoy our time on the yacht, relaxing and sailing from one harbor to another. We stop in bays for a swim and sometimes we stay there overnight because we like it a lot.

You will have time to explore each island, visiting, ride a bike or an ATV and try the cuisine at the local tavernas.

The exclusive package includes equipment for water activities. You’re free to participate in various activities, such as swimming, snorkeling, fishing, and paddle-boarding. You can also visit local sites, go hiking, or simply relax on board.

*water toys are optional - request a SUP (approx 140E/week)

Athens Moni  Russian Bay Ermioni Dokos  Hydra ᐅ Poros Athens

Route

Highlights

  • Russian Bay

The so-called "golden bay" is one of the emblematic bays of Saronic, with golden sand, clear waters and a strong historical load. On the bay beach there is the ruin of a dock dating from 1834, being used by Russian ships as a place of supply while helping the Greek in the war against Turks.

  • Ermioni

A small seaside town on the eastern coast of the Peloponnese constructed on the hill slopes. The town has many traditional Greek houses and the surrounding nature makes this a beautiful place to stop and attracts many tourists looking for a perfect holiday. You will find a few pebbled beaches just a short walk from the port where you can enjoy a swim in the crystal clear waters.

  • Hydra

Island of rare beauty, where Elizabeth Taylor and Leonard Cohen bought houses. Donkeys and boats are the only form of transport as laws prohibit automobiles (except for a few small garbage trucks), mopeds, and even bicycles. Due to the island’ s status as a national historic monument, strict building laws also regulate development, protecting Hydra ’ s traditional architectural style and enhancing its old-world charm. It's the island with few roads and no parking spaces, where the hustle and bustle, the taverns, are mostly in the harbor.

  • Poros

Right after we moor in Poros, our proposal is to rent a bike/ ATV and explore the area or go swimming to Kanali / Askeli Beach or in the beautiful & small - Love Bay (15 min by walk) Must see in Poros island is the sunset from the old Clock tower on the top of the Hill.

This is the suggested route, but we are weather dependent so the itinerary is subject to change.

Saturday 7.06

Arrive in the Alimos Marina latest at 15.00, have a coffee or beer (here), meet your skipper and latest at 16.00 you’ll board the yacht.

After the cabin allocation, you’ll have a mandatory safety briefing, sign it and we’ll start the adventure.

Our first destination is Agia Marina bay, on the East side of the Island of Aegina, we’ll spend the night at anchor, and you can have the dinner on board, or ask your skipper to join you for a dinner at the tavern, the dinghy ride will be fun, unless it is wavy

*if for any reasons the crew, or the boat is not ready to depart at 17.30, that boat will stay in Alimos marina for the night to enjoy the Athenian Riviera’s taverns, and we’ll regroup in the morning

**there will be NO night sailing

*** The boats that don’t leave Alimos on Saturday, we’ll go straight to Russian Bay, meet the others and follow the plan

Sunday 8.06

We’ll have an early start, aprox. 9.30 so we can “conquer” the Russian Bay (here), here will have all in one place, blue waters for swimming, a sandy beach, sunbeds, dinner and party.

Ask your skipper for the dinner ticket.

The boats will be rafted, make sure you have your skipper’s contact to help you get back on the boat.

*while the boats are being secured and maneuvered there is no swimming around

Monday 9.06

Our journey will set the sails for Ermioni City, it is a 4hrs sail, we’ll stop for a short swim and then will do our best to fit the huge flotilla on the South peer of the marina.

Ermioni is great for ice creams, taverns and also cultural walks, ask your skipper for reservations.

This is a place where the boats will be refilled with water and also you can re provision from the supermarket.

*please make sure you have enough provisions on board for the next days (water, beer, fruits, vegetables, food)

Tuesday 10.06

Since our new destination is Dokos, a wild Island in the Saronics, we can have a late start, so 10.30-11.00 will be our departure.

In one of the bays we ll make a nice raft and we can enjoy the whole afternoon, swimming, relaxing and who knows, maybe party on boats.

For the sporty ones, a nice 1h hike to the top of the island will give you one of the best sunsets in the area.

*again, make sure you have bought all you might need from Ermioni on the previous day

Wednesday 11.06

10.30 we are going to visit Hydra! This is an amazing place, no cars, only donkeys, cafee, taverns and shops.

We will anchor in one of the nearby bays, Mandraky or Molos, so you can still have a swim and enjoy the beauty of sailing holidays.

At 17.00 we’ll call the water taxis (30 euro/8 pers) to transport you to Hydra. Don’t forget to return latest at 01.30 with the last taxis (45 euro/8 pers)

*Hydra is a small town, it can not accommodate group meals, but ask your skipper for recommendations and reservations

Thursday 12.06

Probably the most famous island in the area is POROS, the flotilla will arrive latest at 13.30 so we can find a spot to dock the boats.

Here is the last stop where you can buy souvenirs, rent a scooter/atv, go to a nice beach bar or just wander arround.

The dinner is going to be at 19.30 at Oasis Tavern and an after party for the brave ones is in Malibu.

The night is young!

Friday 13.06

Returning in Alimos Marina - Athens has two options.

  1. Have a coffee in Poros and leave early, stop in a bay on Aegina for 1h, arrive in the port at 16.00

  2. Have a stay in Poros until 11.00, and start sailing straight to Alimos to arrive at 16.00

In Alimos we can arrange a dinner for all, or montessori time (everyone does whatever they like)

*make sure your returning flights take in consideration the 16.00 port arrival

Saturday 14.06

It is time to say goodby from your boat, 08.30 we must leave them behind. But will keep the good times, friendships and pictures

*make sure you don’t forget small stuff or values on board.

*the trash must be cleared from the boat and a nice general clean aspect of the interior of the boat will be your mark, so leave a good impression

We’ve gathered a bunch of images from boats we’ve sailed before on this adventure so you’ll have a general idea of boat-layout and equipment.

FAQs

  • Food, drinks for the whole week - cost approx. 100 euro/person

    • (100 * 8 = 800) will cover basic shopping: plain water, juice, coffee, breakfast food (sausages, milk, eggs, cheese, vegetables, yogurt, cereal, etc.) nibbles (chips, biscuits, nuts, etc.), 2 boxes of pasta /rice, 2-3 jars of sauce (ex: Pesto / arrabbiata sauce), condiments and alcohol based on your priorly-communicated preferences.

Provisions will be loaded on the boat, available to all members of the crew inclusive skipper.

During the trip, each boat crew can also individually make their additional shopping on the islands we will be visiting.

Every day we arrive at another destination, either the marina (city - where you can eat dinner at taverns / restaurants, or we end up in a remote bay (ex: Dokos) where dinner will be taken on the boat using the initially purchased supplies (see pasta and sauce mentioned above). The idea is not to we waste a lot of time cooking on the boat, as a result the pasta / rice option with a quick sauce are the best solutions.

Breakfast - everyone's choice - whether it's served on the boat or going to the tavern (if we are in the city).

  • The yachts can accommodate up to 10 persons; 8 guests in 4 double cabins & 2 in bunk beds cabin

  • Yes, we do have! The galley, because this is how we call it, is a generous open space with the saloon. The fully equipped galley includes: an oven, cooker, sink, fridge and kitchen utensils.

  • Everyone arrives in the Marina around 16:00 on Saturday for boarding.

  • Not really hidden but we like to mention variable costs that are not included in the adventure fee:

    Security Deposit

    (if no waiver insurance)

Just as renting a car, requires a warranty - so does renting a yacht, only that the amount is higher (3000 euro- depending on the boat) .The amount will be fully refunded at the end of the week IF there is no damage.

And here we are talking about various damages: a mattress burned by cigarette, window was broken / cracked, lost the lifebuoy / fenders etc (things that can be done ( mistake/ carelessness) by any person on the boat). Each loss / damage has a cost and it will be deducted from the warranty-deposit ---- therefore, the entire crew will be responsible during the week, to receive the deposit back.

    Yacht Fuel included

  • The crossings last 2-3 hours depending on the distance between the islands we want to reach. During the crossing, on the yacht everyone does what they want — eat, drink, sun bathe, read, etc.

If we want, and the weather allows us, for those who want to cool down, we will have swim–stops, in the middle of the sea or in a bay.

We build the route in such a way that we can visit our chic and beautiful cities, to taste the specific Greek cuisine, and also to enjoy the peace and the intimacy that only a bay can offer us, a place you can only reach by boat. So we will have both: days / nights in the marinas -cities and in the secluded bays
