Over the online theory course of 5 days, the instructors will cover the fundamentals of recreational sailing. This is followed by 3 days of hands-on practice on power boat in Snagov or Mangalia, this is the C + D practice
The sessions concludes with the official practical exam conducted by an A.N.R. representative. Upon passing this exam, you'll be eligible to register for the final theoretical exam at one of the local harbors (căpitănii), such as Constanța, Giurgiu, Galati, Dej, etc.*
For the S (sailing licence) 6 days of hands on practice on a monohull in Greece where you'll get acquainted with the boat, learn essential mooring maneuvers, and experience both day and night sailing using sails and motor.
In less than a week our instructors will go with you step by step through everything you need to know about safely handling a yacht.
The certificate of competence (a.k.a. your ”S”) will be issued based on real hands on practice, you will be doing a lot of maneuvers, with the right coaching!

ACTUALLY expect:
Six days packed to the with knots, marina maneuvers, motoring out at sea, actual sailing under wind and power and a lot of safety drills (“man overboard” drill) M.O.B.
The most important part: professional instructors, open to teach you everything you need to know to build up the confidence of sailing.
A lot of work! We’re serious. Sailing is exceptional fun but learning it in 6 days is not for everyone. We promise to pinpoint each and everyone of you’s struggles and steer you in the right direction.
Four hours of night sailing getting used to navigation lights, port entries and other vessel direction and speed. And all that with minimal electronics.

The theoretical component of the course will provide a foundation for understanding how to handle a boat in various weather and traffic conditions. The practical aspect will then aim to apply these theoretical concepts in real-life situations on the boat.
BEGINNER TO EXPERT
This license will allow you to operate a motorboat and/or sailboat at sea up to 6 nautical miles offshore, lakes, rivers including the Danube Delta. If you have a passion for sailing, the sea, and boats, and wish to experience the essence of freedom, this course will equip you with the foundational skills essential for your nautical journey.
WORLDWIDE RECOGNIZED
After completing both the practical and theoretical exams, you will be awarded the "International Recreational Craft Operator's Certificate" for categories C, D, and S. Known in English as the "International Certificate of Competency (ICC Certificate)," it is the most widely recognized certificate by governments worldwide.

We recommend monohulls between 38-44ft. The smaller the boat, the faster it responds to your commands and the easier it for us to teach all sorts of maneuvers. The bigger boats are more comfortable to live in but you’re compromising on feedback.

Most people do but you’ll soon find out that it’s not as easy as it looks.

warm clothes that you can wear in layers (it’s better to take a layer off than not having anything else to put on)

We put on foul weather gear and keep learning. And if the weather is terrible with a lot of rain and no sunshine, we double down on theory and master marina maneuvers and cheer ourselves up with rum at the end of the day.

Minimum age is 18.

If you have to cancel last minute there’s not much we can do about it. The payments are non-refundable. But we’re here to make sure everyone is going to have the best experience so we’ll start an accelerated process of finding you a replacement. If we manage to do that we’ll only keep the reservation (100 Euro).
And the best part is we can discount the reservation if you want to reschedule.
