Over one week, you'll learn the fundamentals of sailing
Our instructors rotate you through every position on the boat so everyone gets real hands-on time.
Between lessons, you'll explore stunning coastlines, swim in crystal-clear waters, and feel the thrill of open-sea sailing. By the end, you'll have a solid foundation and the confidence to take on more advanced courses (we offer those too).
*We don't encourage swimming in cold water in April.

We recommend monohulls between 38-45ft. The smaller the boat, the faster it responds to your commands and the easier it for us to teach all sorts of maneuvers. The bigger boats are more comfortable to live in but you’re compromising on feedback.
-
Most people do but you’ll soon find out that it’s not as easy as it looks. We have a 4 tier system and at the end of the week you’ll end up on one of those tiers:
competent crew (you’re not a skipper yet so the best thing moving forward would be to help other skippers but don’t cross the Atlantic on your own just yet)
sail with a skipper (you’ve mastered the basics but we strongly believe your next sailing adventure should happen under the wing of a more experienced skipper)
sail with your best friend (you’re showing signs of a talented skipper and for your next sail all you need is a person you can trust to help out a little)
sail with your family (you’ve probably sailed before and this course was a refresher so we have no problem with you renting your own boat and start island-hopping)
-
a sleeping bag (for spring sailing)
warm clothes that you can wear in layers (it’s better to take a layer off than not having anything else to put on)
Windproof / Waterproof cover layer
enough money to feed and keep you hydrated for a week
-
We put on foul weather gear and keep learning. And if the weather is terrible with a lot of rain and no sunshine, we double down on theory and master marina maneuvers and cheer ourselves up with rum at the end of the day.
-
Not really but we’ve noticed people of relatively same age tend to function better together so we’re trying to avoid big age-gaps.
P.S. If you’re going for RYA DaySkipper after this, just know that you need to be 18 years of age for a valid license. -
If by any chance you want to do this course a second time there’s a 10% discount.
Also, if you bring 4 friends on the same boat with you there’s a 100% discount on your spot. You’re free to share the discount with your friends, we don’t mind. -
If you have to cancel last minute there’s not much we can do about it. The payments are non-refundable. But we’re here to make sure everyone is going to have the best experience so we’ll start an accelerated process of finding you a replacement. If we manage to do that we’ll only keep the reservation (320 Euro).
And the best part is we can discount the reservation if you want to reschedule.
